Please do not let this disappear down the memory hole.

“Children, young girls —some as young as 9 years old— are being bought and sold for sex in America. The average age for a young woman being sold for sex is now 13 years old.
This is America’s dirty little secret.

Sex trafficking—especially when it comes to the buying and selling of young girls—has become big business in America, the fastest growing business in organized crime and the second most-lucrative commodity traded illegally after drugs and guns.

As investigative journalist Amy Fine Collins notes, “It’s become more lucrative and much safer to sell malleable teens than drugs or guns. A pound of heroin or an AK-47 can be retailed once, but a young girl can be sold 10 to 15 times a day—and a ‘righteous’ pimp confiscates 100 percent of her earnings.”

Consider this: every two minutes, a child is exploited in the sex industry.

According to USA Today, adults purchase children for sex at least 2.5 million times a year in the United States.”
People demand repartitions for treatment of slaves 150 years ago, yet ignore the human slave trade that still plagues the planet today.

Why is it that no one is prosecuted for sex trafficking? Ask Robert Mueller.

On March 5, 1998, California’s Santa Rosa Police Department arrested David Asimov (son of sci-fi author Isaac Asimov) and seized more than 4,000 computer disks and videotapes from his Bennett Ridge home, in addition to multiple computers and video duplicating machines. Asimov was charged with four federal counts of possession of child pornography with each count carrying a five year sentence.

Sonoma County Deputy District Attorney Gary Medvigy said:

“There were thousands of disks, thousands of videos. Anything imaginable regarding sex between human beings and human beings, or human beings and animals, was there. Whatever your imagination can conjure up, he had it.”

Robert Mueller, as the U.S. Attorney responsible for prosecuting the case, let Asimov walk free. After two years of negotiations, he suggested 6 months of house arrest (in a mansion), no alcohol, no access to a computer and three years’ probation for possessing child pornography.
